Welcome to our Church
Here at Belfast PH Church, we know there may be some questions you may have.
What should I wear?
What is our dress code you may ask? It is simple. Wear clothing. Men wear a variety of clothing. Some wear suites, some dress pants and shirts, some casual pants and golf shirts and some wear jeans and a t-shirt. Women wear dresses, skirts or dress pants or jeans and children usually wear clothes that are comfortable.
When does the service start?
Sunday morning worship starts at 10:30 am and Sunday evening at 6 pm. Our Wednesday night service starts at 7pm. Our morning service is usually between 1-2 hours and our evening service usually is between 60 to 90 minutes. Our Wednesday night service usually is between 60-90 minutes.
Where do I park?
Parking is available surrounding the church building on the side and back as well as the parking lot across the street.
What happens during a worship service?
When you walk into our sanctuary for a worship service, you will be greeted by an usher or one of our greeters. They will help you with any questions you may have. They will give you a personal welcome and help you find the rest rooms and/or a seat if necessary.
A Pastor or leader will usually open the service with a welcome and opening prayer. You will then experience praise and worship in song, likes hymns, southern gospel and contemporary songs. You will witness some who lift their hands and others who may express other types of liberties during the song service, like crying, or come to the altar during this time to worship.
The pastor will preach a message that conveys practical everyday living relevance. And you will hear vocal support from the congregation in the form of an “amen” or “good word” expression.
The Pastor will conclude by giving an altar invitation where lost men, women and children can be saved and Christians can be healed, delivered, filled with the Holy Spirit or receive other spiritual gifts. All of this is contingent upon what God has planned.
What is the preaching like?
The preaching is vibrant, demonstrative and anointed. We don’t think you will be bored. Our Pastor and ministers strive to offer personal and thought-provoking ideas and at times visual demonstrations on topics that point you closer to God, teach you how to live in righteousness and walk in the victory Christians were saved to do. We encourage you to bring your Bible even though you may see the sermon scriptures on the overhead screen.
Will I feel welcome?
Absolutely! We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person and encouragement to the spiritual growth of all. We have members who are rich, poor, black, white, young and old. Our members come from many different occupations, cultural heritages and religious backgrounds.
